The WM invites you to join him in celebrating the 25th anniversary of the consecration of The Lodge of Seafarers in 1995. This event originally planned (pre-covid) in 2020 has been postponed on two previous occasions. So, 2022 is in fact 25 years plus 2. Let’s make it a great event.

Optional Visit to HMS Victory

Friday Evening – Arrive with plenty of time to board HMS Victory for an 18:30 drinks reception. A supplement of £18 per person which includes two drinks and canapes*. Drinks are Red or White Wine or Orange Juice.

* A selection of canapes including vegetarian but, no vegan option available.

Then dinner back at the Royal Maritime Club is an informal Hot Buffet from 20:00

Dress

Smart casual for the non-formal Friday evening. But, be aware of the weather because we will be outside exposed to the elements.

Saturday

After a leisurely breakfast, enjoy your day. Maybe visit Portsmouth’s historic harbour and town (and a few of the alehouses). Or, many of the maritime attractions i.e HMS Warrior sample the facilities at the venue.

We muster in the Atrium at 18:00 dressed for dinner for a pre-dinner drink (and the traditional tot). The Bosun will pipe “Hands to Dinner” at 18:50 for our Gala Dinner. (Menu)

After dinner entertainment followed by music to dance to, until 01:00

Dress

Formal is usual for a Gala Dinner, namely – Mess Undress or DJs with black ties, both with miniatures. No. 1 Uniform with bow tie & medals (not Masonic jewels). Evening or cocktail dress for the Ladies.

Seating

Seating will be designed around the numbers attending. Please indicate on the booking form your seating preferences and these will be met wherever possible.

During the Gala Dinner, there will be appropriate toasts and readings, background music and probably some out of tune singing (it’s a tradition).  There will also be the inevitable raffle – for which contributions on the day will be most welcome.

This event will help raise funds for our Masonic and non-Masonic charities alike. And the WM hopes that you will be able to support his years’ fundraising.

Extra Nights – Thursday, Sunday

There is an option to stay the extra nights on Thursday or Sunday priced at £124 per night, per couple, or, £82 single occupancy per night, and includes; Dinner, Bed & Breakfast. If you want to take advantage of the extra nights, please advise me in the notes section of the booking form. Indicating Thursday, Sunday or both nights.
