The WM W/Bro Chris Kitson is delighted to announce we return to the Royal Maritime Club in Portsmouth. For his and his good lady, Jennie ladies festival weekend.
The Mary Rose Museum, Spinnaker Tower and the Portsmouth Historic Dockyard are all within a 5-minute walk of this 1852 Victorian hotel, with links to Portsmouth naval history and the Royal Family.
Rooms are modest, with flat-screen TVs with Freeview channels, free Wi-Fi, and tea and coffee-making facilities.
There’s an indoor pool, whirlpool and steam room, pool and snooker tables, skittle lanes, and scheduled entertainment in the bar and ballroom. Buffet breakfast is included, and there’s a restaurant and cafe.

There are 90 double ensuite rooms available. However, only 1 of these is fully wheelchair accessible.

This is what the club says about parking on its website
“There are a limited number of parking spaces here at the club, and they’re available on a first-come-first-served basis. If there aren’t any left, we’ll help you find parking facilities elsewhere and make sure you have somewhere to safely leave your car.”

Friday
Dress
Smart casual for the non-formal Friday evening. No shorts in the dining room.
Saturday
We muster at 17:45 and dress for dinner. For a pre-dinner drink (and the traditional tot). The Bosun will pipe “Hands to Dinner” at 18:50 for our Gala Dinner.

Dress
Formal is usual for a Ladies Festival Gala Dinner, namely – Mess Undress or DJs with black ties, both with miniatures. No. 1 Uniform with bow tie & medals (not Masonic jewels). Evening or cocktail dress for the Ladies.
Seating
Seating will be designed around the numbers attending. Please indicate on the booking form your seating preferences, and these will be met wherever possible.
During the Gala Dinner, there will be appropriate toasts and readings, background music and probably some out-of-tune singing (it’s a tradition). There will also be the inevitable raffle – for which contributions on the day will be most welcome.
This event will help raise funds for our Masonic and non-Masonic charities alike. And the WM hopes you will be able to support his years’ fundraising.
Sunday
Extra Nights DBB on Thurs and/or Sunday
There is an option to stay the extra nights on Thursday and/or Sunday priced at £135 per night per couple, £105 single occupancy per night, and includes; Dinner, Bed & Breakfast. If you want to take advantage of the extra nights, please advise me in the notes section of the booking form. Indicating Thursday, Sunday or both nights.
