On Monday, 9th January, 21 members from The Lodge of Seafarers attended Downend Lodge No5498 to witness the Second Degree Ceremony to Pass Bro. Kevin Hounslow to the Degree of a Fellowcraft.
The ceremony was conducted by the WM of Seafarers, W.Bro Chris Kitson, with the assistance of W.Bro Ivan Vine (Director of Ceremonies LOS) and Bro. Dean Morris (Inner Guard LOS), who presented the Charge after Passing and the Working Tools, respectively.
The Candidate, the WM from The Lodge of Downend and his Senior Warden, is seen in the photograph, accompanied by 11 members of Prorsum Semper – The Gloucestershire Light Blues Club.
A most convivial Festive Board followed the ceremony where The Lodge of Seafarers “Spliced the Mainbrace” with the Brethren from Downend, the visitors and the representatives of Prorsum Semper.
Congratulations to Bro. Kevin on his advancement. We look forward to the next Seafarers’ meeting on the 25th of February 2023, Tyling, at noon.
